Hire me
Hire a React Native consultant
A fixed-price audit of a codebase, an architecture review, or a second opinion you can hand to someone else.
Sometimes the thing you need is not a developer for three months, it is an answer this week. Whether the upgrade is as bad as your team thinks. Whether the performance problem is architectural or three bad list renders. Whether the agency quoting you is quoting the right work.
A consulting engagement is bounded: I read the codebase, run the profiler where it is warranted, and come back with a written document that names specific files, specific dependencies and specific numbers. You can hand that document to anyone, including a different developer. It does not oblige you to hire me for the work it describes, and it is priced so that it does not have to.
What that covers
- Codebase audit with risky dependencies named individually
- Upgrade feasibility and a realistic cost range
- Performance investigation with profiler traces, not impressions
- Architecture review before a rewrite is committed to
- A second opinion on a quote or a technical plan
An audit is a document, not a fix. If you want the problems solved as well, that is a separate engagement and I will quote it from what the audit found.
How it would be billed
Fixed-price project
A scoped piece of work, quoted after discovery and billed against milestones. Best when you know what you want built.
Monthly retainer
An agreed number of days each month, billed in advance. Best when the work is continuous and the priorities move.
Consulting and audit
A fixed number of days ending in a written document. Best when you need an answer rather than a developer.
Inside your team
A day rate, your process, your standups, your repository. Best when you have a team and need one more senior pair of hands.

Questions
What do we get at the end?
A written document. The real state of the codebase, what is safe, what is abandoned, what will break on the next upgrade, where the frames are going, and what each fix would cost. Specific files and specific packages, not categories.
How long does an audit take?
Usually a handful of days for a codebase of ordinary size. I will agree the scope and the price before starting, so it does not turn into an open meter.
Will you tell us if we do not need you?
Yes. That has happened, and it is the only reason the rest of the document is worth reading.
Also hiring for a React Native developer?
Still the right person?
A sentence about the product and where it is stuck is enough to start. I answer every mail myself, including the ones where the answer is that I am not the right person.
